Join Mark Zuckerberg’s Book Club On Facebook

Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg made a New Year’s resolution to read a book every other week and you can join in the journey with him on A Year Of Books. It is part of a challenge he sets himself every year to complete a challenge but it has the chance to grow into something much bigger with 80,000 people liking the page already. Here is what Zucks says…

We will read a new book every two weeks and discuss it here. Our books will emphasize learning about new cultures, beliefs, histories and technologies. Suggestions for new books to read are always welcome. We ask that everyone who participates read the books and we will moderate the discussions and group membership to keep us on topic.

One of the most famous initiatives like this was Oprah who could make a book famous overnight. This feels like a modern social media powered version of that.
