No More Bad Beers or Dodgy Vino with this New App

Next Glass is a new app that uses a huge database of drinks, your tastes, and your smartphone’s camera to tell you just by scanning the label if you’ll love a new wine or beer choice.

The Next Glass app aims to offer personalised ratings on wine and beer that are scientifically tailored to the user’s tastes. When you sign up with Next Glass a personal “taste profile” is created by identifying your current favourite beers and wines, as well as your preferred flavours and textures. Every time you use the app when you are out shopping, dining or in your local bar your “taste profile” is cross-referenced against a database of over 23,000 bottles of wine and beer. Impressive. So that the moment you scan a bottle, you’ll have a compatibility match. Think of it as “Tinder for drinking”!

You can even use Next Glass when shopping for friends or family. If they also have the app downloaded and a profile built, you can use the app to help you choose a bottle of wine or beer that they like as the app displays your friends’ rating alongside your own. Next Glass launched in the USA on November 20th and we can’t wait until it hits Irish shores so we can fully test it!
