The Defender Is Set For A Return

I was a mixed bag of emotions when I heard this, and still kind of am to be honest. Did Land Rover just play their biggest trump card on hardcore Defender fans? Earlier this year we reported that Land Rover were ceasing the production of the most loved classical Defender in 2015. But now, this week, they’ve announced that they’ll be bringing the iconic car (back) to the USA (it hasn’t been available since 1997 there).

The news comes just in time for the 70th anniversary of the model in 2018. Rumour has it the car will come in 5 body types and all different engine sizes too. Obviously I’m relieved that it’ll still be knocking around but Land Rover could have spared my heart the dramatics. Check out the concept photos – it’s looking sharp and handsome as always.
