The Limited Edition Land Rover Defender Heritage

louisejohnston

The Land Rover Defender has entered it’s final year of production which is really sad news for 4×4 lovers. The Defender in my eyes is one of the most iconic cars in automotive history- first being produced back in 1948 with not much of the original bodywork being changed in 6 decades. Land Rover have just opened its doors to the public to tour the Defender Celebration Line at Land Rover’s factory in Solihull- a town in the west midlands of England. The factory features replica models dating back as far as 1948 to the present day.

The Defender has become increasingly popular over the past several years in particular- we’ve all seen the older models being purchased and sprayed matte black driving around various continents or popping up all over your Instagram feed.

And to celebrate it’s last year of production, Land Rover is releasing the limited Heritage edition. The Land Rover Defender Heritage comes with handsome two-tone paint and charming custom interior. Only 2,654 models will be produced and will be sold in Land Rover Defender markets this year. Slick nonetheless and a welcomed nod to this historic vehicle.
