Watch As Tesla Autopilot Prevents A Head On Collision

Video proves the incredible potential of self driving cars

Self driving cars are something we'll all be using soon and an early version of them are already on the road. Tesla recently rolled out a software update called Autopilot in an over the air update which drives the car when on open roads.

The video above shows it in a real situation where the software kicks in and saves a certain major collision. Here is what the driver had to say...

Was travelling a little under 45 mph. There was some rain, but roads were pretty dry. I was watching stopped traffic to my right.

I did not touch the brake. Car did all the work. Sadly no audio, because I had an Uber passenger and Washington has strict privacy laws about recording conversations.
