The Coronas are going on tour this summer… in an ice-cream van

Forced to cancel all upcoming gigs and album promotions, The Coronas have come up with a new plan that will still let them hit the road this summer… in an ice-cream van no less. Yes, really.

Taking to Facebook to explain the idea, the guys wrote:

“When we realised that we weren’t going to be able to promote the album like before, we started thinking about different ideas to mark the launch.

With no gigs, in-store signings or radio performances permitted, our manager had the idea that we get in an ice cream van & travel the country giving out free @MurphysIceCream & selling the record!

With everything that’s going on at the moment we thought it might add a tiny bit of positivity into the world & we can’t wait to get out and see some of our fans & friends around the country that we haven’t seen since before lockdown.

There’s a long way to go before we beat this unfortunately named virus, but, remember… True Love Waits.”

Asking fans to “please please please respect social distancing, wash your hands and wear your masks”, the bank went on to provide details of all planned stop offs this summer. Hitting up Cork, Limerick, Galway, Dublin, Kilkenny and Waterford you can find all the info below.

Sounds like an ideal set up tbh. Touring around Ireland in an ice-cream van? Count me in. Let me know if yiz need a hand lads, would be more than happy to volunteer my services – for some Murphy’s brown bread ice-cream of course.
