As Michelle says, “Jesus, this looks class”.
Ireland has waited with bated breath for the third and final season of our beloved Derry Girls, which Channel 4 have now confirmed will be on our screens on Tuesday, 12th of April.
Along with the hotly anticipated release date, Channel 4 have shared a first look at season 3, in which we see the Derry gals partaking in an age-old Irish ritual passed down through generations – hanging around in the video shop as a teenager with zero intention of renting anything, purely because you’ve nowhere better to go.

The first look sets us up immaculately for an exciting new instalment from Erin and pals – we already have so many questions. What happened to Sister Michael’s leg? What’s Dennis doing working somewhere other than his wee shop? And most importantly – what kind of f*****g animal doesn’t rewind???
All that’s left to do now is cancel all plans for April 12th and get ready for a healthy dose of Irish nostalgia, teenage heartbreak, 90s bangers and everyone’s favourite wisecracking nun. They should make it a national holiday, to be quite honest.
And if you fancy a refresher before you dive into season 3, the rest of Derry Girls is ready and waiting to be binged on Netflix.
