The most-watched show of last year has been revealed by TAM Ireland, and it probably won’t come as a surprise.
A whopping 1.35m tuned in to The Late Late Toy Show in 2017, attracting 70% of the available audience.
The next four most-watched shows were all sport – the All-Ireland Football Final clocked in at number two, while the hurling final was fourth.
Outside of sports, two episodes of Mrs Brown’s Boys nabbed spots in the top 20, while Room to Improve and Dancing With the Stars also featured.
Interestingly enough, all of the most-watched programmes in Ireland in 2017 were on RTÉ One and RTÉ Two.
