Netflix spin-off show Vikings: Valhalla is looking for people from all backgrounds to appear as extras in the upcoming series.

The filming process for Vikings: Valhalla was put on hold earlier this year due to Covid-19 restrictions but production is expected to get back underway soon. With that in mind, the series needs an army of extras to help create the epic scenes that audiences will soon be enjoying from their sofas.

A casting call on Facebook reads: ‘Vikings: Valhalla’ TV Series will be up and running very soon. We are now casting for extras. Due to the current climate, we will not be running anymore Extras Open Casting days so, for further information and application forms, please email [email protected].

‘The production will be based in Ireland. We are inclusive of people from all backgrounds. If you came to an open casting back in March 2020 in Ashford studios or if you already have sent in your details, no need to do so again. Please share and, get in contact ASAP and we will be glad to help!’

The series is being filmed at Ashford Studios in Co. Wicklow and will focus on ‘the adventures of Leif Erikson, Freydis, Harald Hardrada and the Norman king William the Conqueror’. It will contain 24 episodes and is expected to premiere on Netflix at some point in 2021.
