The Weekend has announced that his After Hours World Tour will arrive in Belfast on October 13, 2022.
He will play The SSE Arena, his only scheduled show on the island of Ireland as part of his tour.
The Weekend had a string of hits last year including Blinding Lights, which spent an impressive 38 weeks in the top five on Billboard Hot 100.
The 104-date global tour will kick off on January 14th in Vancouver and will hot various cities around North America, then onto Europe to cities like Paris, Berlin, Belfast, and finishing up on November 16 at London’s O2 Arena.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 8 at 9am. You can get them at ticketmaster.ie.
The world tour announcement comes just days ahead of the multi-platinum singer’s headlining Super Bowl performance. The 55th Super Bowl will take place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on Sunday, February 7 2021. The game will begin around 11.30pm Irish time. Meanwhile, The Weekend should take to the stage somewhere around the 1.15am – 1.30am mark. Coverage will begin at 11pm on BBC 2 before switching to BBC One at 11.30pm.
