There’s a pub named after Paddy Losty in Glasgow

He’s gone at it again. This time, across the pond in Glasgow.

Pintmen, assemble. There’s a real life Paddy Losty Pub located on Glasgow’s south side, for anyone known to put away 30 pints or more in a day.

The “untraditional Irish bar” opened in August 2021, and the name is confirmed to be inspired by the Pintman himself.

Around the time of its opening, the person behind Paddy Losty’s told Glasgow Live:

Losty’s is named after Paddy, a man who became an internet sensation after being unearthed in a book based on Irish characters found across the capital city of the 4 green fields, Dublin.

In the book Losty was identified as a ‘pintman’ who would regularly drink 30 pints or more in a day.

The legend was solidified as Irish Facebook, Twitter and Instagram exploded with memes in celebration of a man with an outstanding talent.

From what we hear, the Glasgow pub pours a pint that Paddy himself would be proud of, along with a selection of 80 Irish craft beers.

Dress code? A shirt, but only provided you’ve taken it off another man’s back.

If you ever find yourself in Glasgow (along with the rest of the Irish population who seem to have all moved there), you know where to hit up for a pint. Just make sure Maureen has the fry on the following morning.
