These Are All The Newest Netflix Originals Arriving In August

Netflix Originals are better than any of us could ever have expected. 

They go from good to great and even better the further in you get. 

We’ve been loving the likes of Ozark, Glow and To The Bone lately so we’re super excited for the following to hit Netflix come August. 

Prepare to veg outtttttt.

1. Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later

Ten years after the original film, fans can finally find out what happened to their fave campers and counsellors in this eight episode series which launches August 4.  

2. Atypical season one

This new series revolves around Sam, an 18-year-old on the autism spectrum. It shows a funny, yet painful journey of self-discovery for love and independence and upends his family. 

It launches globally on August 11. 

3. Marvel’s The Defenders season one

It’ll take an epic team of heroes to save New York City. 

Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage come together as  The Defenders and we could not be more excited. 

Launches August 18 and is gonna be freakin’ epic. 

4. Disjointed

A modern twist on the American Dream, Disjointed is a story of the highs, the lows, and half-baked drama of a family-run marijuana dispensary.

Launches August 25. 

5. The Mist

A town is engulfed by a mysterious fog that conceals terrifying visions and deadly creatures in this new horror series based on Stephen King’s novel. 

Terrifying – launches August 25. 

And for returning weekly episodes?

You can expect Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments season 2B, Orphan Black season five, Shooter season two and Chelsea season two. 

And finally, Original movies: 

1. Death Note 

Intoxicated by the power of a supernatural notebook, a young man begins killing those he deems unworthy of life. Based on the famous Japanese manga. 

Launches August 25. 

2. Naked 

Every time Rob Anderson comes close to marrying the girl of his dreams, he wakes up naked in an elevator, reliving his wedding day. 

Launches August 11. 

3. What Happened to Monday

In a future with a one-child policy, six septuplets must work together to find their missing sister and discover a shocking truth about their world. 

Launches August 18.
