If you're a fan of gin & tonics and coffee, we have some bad news for you: you may have psychopathic tendencies.
At least that's what a new study from the Innsbruck University in Austria has suggested, where 1,000 people were tested to gain an insight into the taste preferences of people with antisocial personality traits.
Their experiments found that people who preferred drinks like coffee and tonic water were more likely to be manipulative, sadistic and narcissistic.
According to Standard.co.uk, the study involved participants filling out personality questionnaires and selecting their food and drink preferences, ranging from sweet to bitter.
The researchers stated in the journal Appetite,
General bitter taste preferences emerged as a robust predictor for Machiavellianism, psychopathy, narcissism and everyday sadism.
