Taron Egerton is drafted by Colin Firth into a secret circle of gentleman spies who help keep the world in order, but immediately faces off against Samuel L. Jackson’s plans for world domination.
Kick-Ass – Comedy Central – 9pm
Aaron Taylor-Johnson is the teenager who discovers that he has been imbued with some special powers, and decides to put them to good use as a superhero, but soon finds out that the world of superheroes isn’t quite as black-and-white as he’d thought.
Cardboard Gangsters – Virgin Media One – 9.30pm
John Connors heads up this Irish drama dealing with a group of young lads who try to take over the drug trade in Darndale, while chasing money, power and sex.
You Were Never Really Here – FilmFour – 11.20pm
Joaquin Phoenix stars in this grisly thriller as an enforcer hired to recover a kidnapped girl, but soon uncovers a deep world of corruption and abuse.
Overboard – RTE One – 11.25pm
Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn star in this iconic rom-com about a gruff woodworker who saves a rich lady (who hates him) from drowning, only for her to completely forget who she was before they met.
Source Code – BBC One – 11.55pm
Jake Gyllenhaal stars in this time-twisting sci-fi action-thriller, playing a man on board a train that is destined to be destroyed by a terrorist attack, but he can go back in time over and over again to find the trigger man of the bomb.
