These are the five best movies on TV tonight

Rory Cashin

One of the movies involves the destruction of the White House, which is just incredibly well-timed for the night that is in it…

While some folk will be staying up late tonight to keep an eye on the US Presidential election results (which probably won’t be announced for a little while), the rest of us will still be looking for some decent to watch on the telly tonight.

And we’ve got exactly what you’re looking for right here:

Zoolander – Comedy Central – 7.20pm

Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are duelling models who accidentally find themselves caught in the middle of an assassination plot involving hypnosis and child labour. Nearly 20 years later, and it is STILL very, very funny.

X-Men: Apocalypse – FilmFour – 9pm

Oscar Isaac arrives as the ultimate bad guy Apocalypse in this third outing for the younger X-Men team, taking place after the events of First Class and Days of Future Past. It is worth the price of admission for the surprisingly intense Wolverine scene alone.

Keeping Up With The Joneses – E4 – 9pm

When a new couple move in next door (and they happened to be played by Jon Hamm and Gal Gadot), bored husband and wife Zack Galifiankis and Isla Fisher initially become friends with them, before discovering they’re actually a pair of lethal spies.

White House Down – Comedy Central – 10pm

Channing Tatum is applying for a job in the Secret Service on the same day that a group of terrorists take over the White House and attempt to kidnap President Jamie Foxx. This is basically Die Hard in the White House, and considering they’re showing it on election night, tonight really is the night to watch it.

Ouija – FilmFour – 1.55am

A horror movie about a ouija board. Has anything good ever happened to anyone who has ever used a ouija board? According to every movie ever, no. It is universally bad news. So no surprises what happens when a group of teens start playing with one in this movie.
