Tuesday night has arrived meaning we’re nearly at hump day and that it’s practically the weekend, right? The perfect night to watch some movies on TV.
Full disclosure, it’s fairly slim pickings for movies on TV this evening but with an Best Picture Oscar winner in the mix you can’t go wrong.
Here’s a selection of the best movies on TV tonight…
Waterworld – ITV 4 – 9pm
This 1995 post-apocalyptic action flick was the most expensive movie ever made at the time of its release, only to be usurped by Titanic two years later. Fairly mixed reviews but worth watching if there’s nothing else that tickles your fancy. Kevin Costner stars.
Red – Film4 – 9pm
An action comedy starring Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman among other big names.
Mission: Impossible 2 – Sky One – 10pm
We feel like we’re watching Tom Cruise in one Mission: Impossible movie or another pretty much every night. Regardless, he’s on again tonight.
Moonlight – Film4 – 11.15pm
A little on the late side but well worth hitting the record button for this 2017 Best Picture Oscar winner. Yep, Moonlight definitely won. Not La La Land, okay?
And finally…
Groundhog Day – Sky Comedy – Literally all night
We reported earlier that the pranksters at Sky Comedy are showing Groundhog Day back to back all day given that today (February 2) is the eponymous celebration. Have a look at the multiple start times here.
