Great news for anyone looking for a few hours of distraction tonight…

If this were tomorrow, we’d be recommending you check out Netflix’s new thriller Rebecca, but since it isn’t released until Wednesday, here are the best movies for you to watch on your telly this Tuesday evening…

Shanghai Noon – Comedy Central – 7pm

Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan star in this Western-meets-Eastern action comedy, with some great chemistry between the two leads, and Chan doing his usual jaw-dropping stunt work.

Been So Long – FilmFour – 9pm

A little know musical romance, telling the story of a dedicated single mother who, on an unusual night on the town, is charmed by a handsome yet troubled stranger.

Salt – TCM – 9pm

Angelina Jolie is a CIA agent who finds herself accused of being a Russian sleeper agent, and she is forced to go on the run while trying to prove her innocence.

X-Men: The Last Stand – E4 – 9pm

Jean Grey returns from the dead, but has awoken with her powers at world-destroying levels. The X-Men attempt to defend humanity from her, while Magneto and co. want to use her as the ultimate weapon.

Hot Fuzz – ITV4 – 10.05pm

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reunite after Shaun of the Dead for this comedy at the centre of an action police procedural, which itself as at the centre of a weird small town murder mystery plot.

I Am Not Your Negro – BBC Four – 11.05pm

Oscar-nominated documentary looking at the recent race issues within America, and how much further than struggle still has to go.

The Wolverine – FilmFour – 11.05pm

Better than Origins, but not as good as Logan, this in-between’y Wolverine movie sends him to Japan in order to meet a dying friend and he soon gets caught up in a local mutant plot.
