We should probably retitle this today to “The Greatest Showman and the five other movies that are also on”.

Welcome to the working week’s half way point, and to celebrate, there are at least six movies you’ll want to check out tonight.

Even though there are some genuine classics on the telly, we have a funny feeling we already know which one you’ll all be watching…

Exodus: Gods and Kings – FilmFour – 6.10pm

The defiant leader Moses (Christian Bale) rises up against Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses II (Joel Edgerton), setting six hundred thousand slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues.

Rocky V – ITV4 – 9pm

Reluctantly retired from fighting, Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) takes charge of Mickey’s gym and agrees to train a young protégé who’s hungry for success.

The Greatest Showman – FilmFour – 9pm

Celebrates the birth of show business and tells of a visionary (Hugh Jackman) who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation.

Raging Bull – FilmFour – 11.05pm

The life of boxer Jake LaMotta (Robert De Niro), whose violence and temper that led him to the top in the ring destroyed his life outside of it.

Get Carter – ITV4 – 11.15pm

When his brother dies under mysterious circumstances in a car accident, London gangster Jack Carter (Michael Caine) travels to Newcastle to investigate.

Chef – Channel 4 – 1.15am

A head chef (Jon Favreau) quits his restaurant job and buys a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while piecing back together his estranged family.
