These are the six best movies on TV tonight

Perfect picks of the flicks for your Tuesday night!

If you’re looking for your movie fix this evening, then we’ve got two great options for you:

(1) Check out this list of the 20 best Christmas movies and where you can watch them from the comfort of your couch, or

(2) Check out one of these which are on your TV tonight!

Star Trek – FilmFour – 6.35pm

The young and sexy reboot, with Chris Pine and co. taking on the classic roles on board the Starship Enterprise, just as evil bad guy Eric Bana arrives with plans on destroying Earth.

Scrooged – Comedy Central – 9pm

Bill Murray is the heartless 80s TV executive who is visited by three ghosts over Christmas, all in an effort to make him see the error of his ways. One of the darker Christmas comedies around, which is probably why we love it so much.

Jason Bourne – FilmFour – 9pm

We’re not quite sure why there are so many Bourne movies on the TV lately, but if you’re a fan of Bourne movies, then this must feel like… well… Christmas. This is the fourth Damon one, which culminates in a car chase that destroys most of the Las Vegas strip.

The Bourne Legacy – ITV4 – 10pm

See what we mean? More Bourne. Bourne again! This is the one without Bourne though, as Jeremy Renner plays an agent who was put through a similar training session as Bourne was, with equally nefarious outcomes.

Legend – FilmFour – 11.25pm

Two Tom Hardys for the price of one, as he plays diabolical twin crime lords The Krays, running London with a bloody iron fist.

Rocky – TCM – 1.20am

We sometimes forget that Rocky was nominated for TEN Oscars, and actually won three of them, including Best Picture!
