Monday’s movie menu!

Monday is back again, and we’ve got a handful of decent movies on tonight to get your week off to the right start.

The Imitation Game – FilmFour – 6.45pm

Benedict Cumberbatch headlines this biopic of Alan Turing, the maths genius who helped to crack the code used by the Germans during World War II, but who was also persecuted at the time due to his sexuality.

Mission: Impossible III – Sky One – 9pm

Ethan Hunt is tracking down an arm’s dealer (the late, great Philip Seymour Hoffman), but there may be threats also coming from inside his organisation. A brilliant, stunt-filled action-thriller.

Jaws – ITV4 – 9pm

They should’ve got a bigger boat.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri – FilmFour – 9pm

A powerful drama from the director of In Bruges, Oscar-winner Frances McDormand plays the grieving mother who publicly calls out the local police force when they fail to find the killer of her daughter.

Hacksaw Ridge – TG4 – 9.30pm

Mel Gibson directs this WWII epic, revolving around the true-story of a soldier (Andrew Garfield) who wants to fight for his country, but refuses to carry a weapon due to his religious beliefs.

Waterworld – ITV4 – 11.30pm

Kevin Costner stars in what many believed to be a huge box office flop (the $175 million movie actually made $265 million at the box office, so… not great, but not the worst), which is essentially Mad Max At Sea, and is much better than you may have heard.
