Irish cinema just keeps getting better and better. Case in point: Michael Inside.
This film tells the story of Michael McCrea (Dafhyd Flynn) an 18-year-old Dubliner who gets sentenced to three months in jail after being caught holding a bag of drugs belonging to someone else. Meanwhile, his grandfather Francis (Lalor Roddy) is being intimidated by the thugs who lost the drugs…
Written and directed by Frank Berry, the film takes a grim look at the realities of prison in Ireland.
While a general release date is yet to be announced, you can catch Michael Inside at the Galway Film Fleadh on July 14.
