It’s that time of the week when work is draaaaaaaaging on and all we can think about is retreating with our boo to our own private world where stress doesn’t exist and the grass is literally greener.
And friends, we’ve found just the place.
A fabulous converted stone barn with and open plan living area & kitchen and a mezzanine double bedroom is calling our names and we are in love with this countryside haven.
Exposed stone walls and oak beams are complemented by luxurious furnishings and a cosy wood burning stove that’s just made for chilling in front of, glass of vino in hand and feet entwined.
LOOK how cute it is:
There’s even an array of interesting and unusual books on the history, flora and fauna of Ireland if you’re literary inclined, while a small stair case leads up to the mezzanine bedroom with comfy double bed, clothes storage and excellent views across the garden and countryside beyond.
The Airbnb listing is pretty promising, even saying that:
“This is a really romantic location – so much so that we have had more than ten honeymooning couples stay here and even two proposals (successful ones!)”
We can see why when the view is this nice…
The little cottage is located in the village of Ardcath, not too far from Ashbourne, Meath, and the local pub is a 15 minute walk away if you feel like emerging from your cosy couple’s cocoon for a Baileys and ice.
Although in a place this adorable we couldn’t see ourselves venturing outside the front door. See the full listing here.
