Some people download Tinder, some go for speed-dating, and others rely solely on getting set up by friends, but I think we can all agree we get a bit desperate when it comes to trying to find our one true love.

One woman, though, is really taking it to the extremes.

The Irish Mirror report that Marleze Kruger (46), a South African widow, is selling her home and business in Johannesburg and travelling a whopping 10,000 kilometres to the Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival to find love yet again.

She plans to head to the famous Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival in August for the full five weeks of the festival and hopes to meet her future husband there.

Marleze says her ideal Irish man would be tall and religious, and she would love to live in Clare or Galway.

She says that her ideal Irish man would be tall and religious and she is especially hopeful to settle down in the Clare or Galway area.

“I feel that this is something that I really want to do, and if it happens, I don’t want anything here to be holding me back” she said.

Best of luck gal xox
