Lots of people in GAA jerseys have crossed enemy lines in their time but this takes the phrase to a whole new level.
Someone on Reddit was watching television last night and spotted this man in a Tipperary jersey fighting in Syria.
No information was given about the TV programme and the caption on the photo reads: “A long way from home”.
This caption, of course, gave way to numerous jokes about how “it’s a long way to Tipperary.”
There also seems to be a number on the back of the jersey too.
Not everyday you’d see something like this.
