The latest season of First Dates Ireland has left us absolutely dying for more week after week, and tonight’s episode is no exception.
The show’s first transgender and pansexual daters will join the array of couples looking for love in the First Dates restaurant and it’s a lovely sign to see Irish TV moving with the times.
Kyle, a 19-year-old pansexual from Cork, will go on a date with Laylah, a transgender (who was born a male called David) and we just can’t wait to see how they get on with each other.
Their date will see Kyle opening up to Laylah about his battle with cancer, which began was he was just 17-years-old.

Laylah will also open up about the daily challenges she faces being a transgender in Ireland.
She said: “I definitely have more challenges than probably your average person.”
“People on the street staring and shouting. There’s a lot of people who, I think, hate me, and it’s very weird to have someone hate you for no reason.”
Tonight’s show will also see a Harry Potter super fan, an amateur football referee, an many more searching for love, and we can’t feckin’ wait.
