Last month Netflix announced the highly anticipated Making a Murderer Part Two and its October 19 release date is finally almost upon us.
And now director Laura Ricciardi has revealed some of the finer details of what we can expect from the second season.
Steven and Brendan Avery have once again granted Emmy Award-winning filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos access to their families and the legal teams fighting for justice on their behalf following the smash hit success of season one.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Ricciardi said, "There are major revelations in part two. Things that certainly surprised us, and I think things that surprised the people in the story."

Over the course of 10 new episodes, Making a Murderer Part 2 will provide an in-depth look at the post-conviction process and explore the emotional toll it takes on all involved.
It will also focus on how the attention of the media and millions of viewers around the world affected the Avery family.
Ricciardi added, "It was interesting to try to navigate in this new world. Because when we were creating the first season, we were doing it very much under the radar."
