RTÉ Has Confirmed Its Schedule For The Final World Cup Group Games

James Fenton

We’ve reached day 12 of the 2018 World Cup and with that the final round of group stage matches begin.

Life before the tournament is starting to feel like a distant memory but with another three weeks to go, we’re still very much in the early stages.

As is tradition with World Cups, the final group games will be played simultaneously, making it impossible for all games to be shown live on RTÉ 2, as has been the case with the rest of the tournament.

However, the national broadcaster is making provisions for any games not chosen for RTÉ 2 to be shown on RTÉ News Now and RTÉ Player, meaning fans won’t miss a moment of the action. Here’s what’s coming up in what should be a pivotal week for the tournament:

Uruguay v Russia (Group A) – 3pm RTÉ 2

Saudi Arabia v Egypt (Group A) – 3pm News Now and Player
