The Most Recent ‘Star Wars’ Movie Has Just Landed On Irish Netflix

James Fenton

Sci-fi buffs rejoice. The latest instalment of the ‘Star Wars’ movie franchise has just landed on Irish Netflix.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released in 2015 and serves as a sequel to 1983’s Return Of The Jedi. Starring Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher in one of her last movie roles, the intergalactic adventure sees the galaxy face a new threat from the evil Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and the First Order 30 years after the defeat of the Galactic Empire.

While most fans of the franchise will have seen it, those who haven’t have the perfect opportunity to catch up this wintry weekend. For friends and significant others who have no interest whatsoever, part of the visually stunning movie was filmed on Skellig Michael in Co. Kerry so there’s that to look out for!

Most importantly, it’s the perfect chance to whet your appetite before the release of The Last Jedi next month.
