The premiere of Liam Neeson's latest movie Cold Pursuit has reportedly been cancelled amid an ongoing controversy regarding comments he made about gaining revenge on black people.

The Irish actor has been at the centre of a storm after he recalled "wanting to kill a black person" following a friend's rape a number of years ago. He attempted to clarify his comments on Good Morning America today before he was passionately defended on Sky News by former footballer John Barnes.

A number of outlets are now reporting that the New York premiere of the action movie has been cancelled at the last minute. It had been due to take place later this evening.
