This Was The Most Overlooked Moment From Last Night’s Toy Show

James Fenton

A weather warning was issued last night as the nation was left in floods of tears by this family reunion on ‘The Late Late Toy Show’.

It was one of the great TV moments of the year and will go down as one of the best ever Toy Show segments.

However, another surprise moment occurred soon after when little Daniel Grogan from Galway met some of his heroes.

The hurling-mad Daniel had just finished showing off some of his skills with a sliotar to Ryan Tubridy and watching audiences when he was taken aback by the sudden appearance of members of the Galway 2017 All-Ireland winning team.

The lads had the Liam McCarthy Cup in tow and Daniel looked every bit the All-Ireland winning captain as he raised it above his head for all to see. Hopefully for him he’ll be doing the same again at Croke Park one day.

Take a look at the magical moment below.

That’s Daniel’s year made. The players, led by captain David Burke, had a whole pile of treats for the little fella including a season ticket for his family, a Galway jersey and hurley and sliotar signed by the whole team.

Best of all, he’ll get to lead the Tribesmen out as mascot for their first league game of 2018 and will even get to spend some time with them at a training session in January.

Well done to all involved. If you missed the Toy Show you can catch it on RTÉ Player.
