The first trailer has dropped for Disney’s live-action remake of Aladdin, and it looks like it’s gonna pretty close to the original.
We’re pretty happy about that, considering how bad it can go when they decide to stray from the original. (Cough Beauty and the Beast cough)
Set for a May 2019 release date, the remake will see Mena Massoud take on the role of Aladdin and Naomi Scott will play alongside him as Jasmine.
Will Smith is gonna be the genie, and he has already posted on Instagram about his latest role.
The remake will be directed by Guy Ritchie, director of Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
