TV Pick – Get A Glimpse Into 1980s Ireland With Tonight’s ‘Moving Statues’ Documentary

Back in 1980s Ireland, a good old-fashioned religious phenomenon was a common topic of discussion around the country.

In the summer of 1985 in particular, you couldn’t move for the miracles being reported nationwide and RTÉ will delve deep into this mysterious period in our history with tonight’s documentary called Moving Statues – The Summer Of 1985.

Throughout the summer, sightings of moving religious statues at more than 30 locations including Monasterevin, Sligo, Stradbally and Ballinspittle and tonight’s programme will feature the thoughts of those who claim to have witnessed the incidents. They will also be asked if they still believe in what they saw or if the passage of time has changed their opinions.

Whatever your stance, this one-hour documentary looks like a fascinating watch and you can catch it on RTÉ One tonight from 9.35pm.
