Ireland’s international soccer teams may be split into north and south but tonight’s documentary is sure to unite us all.
Division: The Irish Soccer Split will tell the story of how a previously all-island team split during the War of Independence and how the rivalry between the teams has reflected social and political turmoil on the island.
The hour-long programme looks like a fascinating account, not only of sport but of Irish history and will feature contributions from the likes of Niall Quinn, Brian Kerr, Alan McLoughlin and Bryan Hamilton.
Division: The Irish Soccer Split airs on RTÉ One tonight at 9.35pm and you can check out a preview below.
