We’ve all got those ambitions in life that we seemingly will never get around to doing. Whether it’s traveling the world, writing that novel or simply painting the spare room, sometimes we just need that person in our lives to give us that little push we need.
Baz Ashmawy plays that role in his new RTÉ series Wingman which gets underway tonight. Each episode will see the presenter help participants achieve an unfulfilled ambition or pursue a personal dream and the whole thing looks like it’ll make for some pretty wholesome TV.
Tonight, Baz meets Jimmy Byrne from Togher in Louth who wants to put on a play but none of his neighbours or friends are taking his aim seriously. Ahh, lads.
With Baz’s help, Jimmy will aim to prove people wrong and live out his dream. See how he gets on tonight on RTÉ One at 9.30pm.
