Paddy's Day is arguably the biggest celebration of the year in Ireland. Every March 17, foreign visitors come from far and wide to join in the revelry while Irish people themselves are never shy about setting the tone.

However, sometimes the good-natured celebrations of the masses are spoiled by the overindulgence of the few and the resulting chaos can cause major headaches for Gardaí.

Tonight, TV3 will air a documentary entitled The Gardaí: Policing Paddy's which serves as a behind the scenes look at massive preparations for the big day as Gardaí face up to inevitable unruly scenes on the streets of Dublin.

We reckon the programme will definitely have tongues wagging around the country tomorrow and you can check out the preview below:

The Gardaí: Policing Paddy's airs tonight on TV3 at 10pm.
