TV3’s Christmas Toy Show Has Been Cut After Four Years On Air

TV3 have reportedly cancelled their annual Christmas Toy Show after four years on air.

A source told The Irish Daily Star that money was an issue and funds couldn’t be put behind the show to run again this year.

They said, “Brexit had a huge impact on advertising revenue. Money was a big issue and TV3 just couldn’t afford to put the Toy Show on again this year.”

The show was hosted last year by Lucy Kennedy and Dustin the Turkey and previously Brian McFadden and Karen Koster.

The TV3 Toy Show was a hit with 350,000 tuning in when it first aired in 2013, with that figure rising to 472,100 in 2014 when Brian and Karen hosted.

However, ratings took a knock in 2015 when numbers dropped to 209,000.
