Football commentator John Giles took his leave from RTÉ sports broadcasting last night, following the final of the Euros, after over 30 years in the business.
He starting with RTÉ sports in 1986, following great success playing with Manchester United, Leeds United and as the coach of the Irish team.
Last night he was joined by his pals Eamon Dunphy and Liam Brady who honoured him on air, no doubt missing their fourth musketeer, Bill O’Herlihy.
