Ah, the excuse of every teenager ever: “Just say you’re staying in Sarah’s or something”.

Many a teenage gal had to perfect this lie in order to sneakily go drinking in a field – or if you were lucky enough to grow up in Drogheda, the excitingly named ‘Priest’s Lane’. 

Yes, a lane at the back of a Parish Priest’s house was a top underage drinking spot.
