Well, one legendary lad in Wicklow just spent his holy haul on the most typically Irish purchase there ever was – a COW.
Ewan Hanny of Annacurragh, splashed out his €900 on a Belted Galloway Heifer which he keeps on his uncle’s farm nearby.
An animal enthusiast, Ewan told RTE reporters that he was pretty please with his new cow, who he’s named Abigail.
He said: “It’s quiet, tough and it can live up in the highlands all winter.
“I’m thinking of getting 30 cows. It’s a good way to spend my communion money.”
Amazing to see the lad so focused at such a young age!
