WATCH: Spirit Of The Euros Very Much Alive As Ireland And Austria Fans Share A Sing-Song

Last summer, Republic Of Ireland football fans captured the imagination of the world with their boisterous, friendly and generally gas behaviour at Euro 2016 in France.

It’s clear that the craic isn’t just extended to traveling fans though as the home crowd welcomed visiting supporters before Sunday’s battle with Austria at the Aviva which finished 1-1. 

The Austrians were very much in full voice and for once the Irish found it difficult to be heard. The mantra seemed to be ‘if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em’ as a few of the Green Army got involved.

The video was posted to Youtube by Stuart Thompson and it’s great to watch but sadly a couple of eejits decided to throw the odd insult at our guests. There’s always a few!
