WATCH: This Irish Lad Went On TV To Tell His Mammy About His New Tattoo

AmyBell

Sometimes we decide to get something tattooed well…just because.

It’s a spur of the moment decision that you thought was great but turns out not to be as good as you thought. Then people start to ask you about it and you have to explain the craic you had getting it and why.

They do make great stories, but this one Irish lad decided to tell his Mammy at home on TV.

Matthew Nolan from Drogheda, Co.Louth is currently on holidays in Maguluf and on a night out decided he wanted to get a tattoo. Of course.

The lad ended up getting Despacito, the name of the hit song this summer by Luis Fonsi ft Daddy Yankee and also a remix with Justin Bieber tattooed on his foot.

And why?

He said, “because all the people around here kept saying Despacito. So I was like go on, give us a bit of Despactio”.

Matthew broke the news to his mother, Geraldine Nolan, live on Good Morning Britain yesterday and she wasn’t as mad as you may have first thought. What a supportive Irish mammy.

Have a look at the interview for yourself below.

She said that her son is “still welcome back home” and thought the whole thing was funny.

She said in the interview, “I just laughed and I just took it in great fun. There are worse things happening in the world so I’m still proud of him and I still love him.”

Have you ever gotten a spur of the moment tattoo abroad? Let us know!
