Mystic Donegal Postman Predicts What Summer 2019 Weather Will Be Like

Kiara Keane

The Donegal postman who has gained notoriety by correctly predicting how Ireland’s summers and winters will pan out has weighed in on what we can expect in the coming months.

Michael Gallagher originally shot to fame in 2007 when he correctly predicted when Ireland’s famous summer of rain would end.

So, we’re hoping he’s also got it right this time around when he says brighter days are on the way (Leaving Cert weather, where are you?)

Despite an absolute washout of a bank holiday weekend, Michael has assured the public, “I would say to people don’t throw away your sun lotion yet.”

He told The Irish Sun, “There’s still a good part of summer still to come. It’s very hard to put a time on it but there is a change on the way.

“It was like winter and the old people always when you get a cold spell with hailstones and thunder, that’s a sign of something coming good. And I see there’s a change on the way.”

Met Éireann issued a Status Yellow rainfall warning for seven counties earlier today, so here’s hoping Michael’s prediction kicks in soon…
