Love Island kicked off again last night, and true to form it was trending in Ireland within minutes.

It’s the most meme-able show on TV, and last night’s episode didn’t disappoint in that area.Â
However, when it came to body type representation, the people of Twitter felt there was a lot to be desired.Â
Well if I wasn’t already body conscious, I am now! Disappointed in Love Island, where’s the curvy girls at?!

While last year’s show celebrated a more diverse range of body types, viewers felt there was a serious lack of curvier lads and ladies in this year’s line up.Â
I LOVE @LoveIsland but as the average size for a UK woman is 16 I would love to see some curvy girls and lads without six packs too. All shapes and sizes want to find love #LoveIsIand @itv2

First time watching love island last night, disappointed with all girls skinny, pretty but where’s curvy!? Nah forget it not worth to watching anymore ????

Why is there no curvy girls on love island like Jess last year? Can’t deal with feeling like a whale for 8 weeks with the skinny minnies on it this year ????????

Do you think love island will ever have any girls that are even slightly curvy or na? ????

While the original cast are all bedded in, the Love Island format sees newbies arrive to the villa regularly, so let’s hope they rectify this omission ASAP!Â
Love Island continues tonight on 3e at 9pmÂ
