We’re not really sure how to feel about Brendan O’Connor’s Cutting Edge on RTÉ. It’s one of those programmes that you stumble upon while flicking channels, roll your eyes but then find yourself physically incapable of turning it off.
This phenomenon is largely to do with the quality of guests on the current affairs chat show with the likes of Mary O’Rourke, Christy Dignam and Riyadh Khalaf all getting tongues wagging with their appearances on the show in recent weeks.
Tonight should be no exception as Vogue Williams joins Brendan to take a look at all the goings-on in Ireland and the wider world in the past seven days.
The Dubliner has had a busy few months of her own what with getting engaged to Spencer Matthews and announcing that she’s expecting her first child. Who knows, she might even chat about that massive engagement ring she received?
Also joining the discussion will be journalist Alison O’Connor and former RTÉ News reporter David Davin-Power. The show gets underway on RTÉ 1 at 9.35pm tonight.
