WATCH: An American Tourist Made Some Pretty Gas Observations About Ireland

American tourists in Ireland get a lot of slack. We slag them off for their bootcut jeans and doe-eyed earnestness, their Celtic Store shopping bags stuffed with leprechaun fridge magnets and ‘Póg mo thóin’ t-shirts.

But a video on Youtube by travel blogger Mark Wolters of Wolters World travel site has us equal parts screaming and laughing at the things he says will shock you about Ireland.

Mark makes some gas observations about what first timers should expect when they visit the Emerald Isle and while some of them shouldn’t really be shocking (YES WE DRIVE ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE!), we didn’t know we had a reputation for cursing so much…

“Everyone was born with the mouth of a sailor”

Mark says that people just “cuss, cuss, cuss like crazy”.

“It’s not the cussing that will shock you, it’s the amount of sorrys that will shock you”

Mark also says that the food is surprisingly good, he couldn’t get over how friendly everyone was and that “the Irish are frickin AWESOME.”

We can’t argue there Mark, good lad!

We started watching the video guffawing at the idea that it would be silly stereotypes of visiting Ireland but by the end? Mark Wolters for president. He’s the sweetest.
