Cards on the table here. As a Dub, I probably shouldn’t be commenting on people’s hurling skills given that we were humbled by Laois in All-Ireland Preliminary quarter-final on Sunday.
That said, I still remain confident that the Boys In Blue would be able to give the Preston North End lads a few lessons after this showing in Cork.
The English Championship side are over in the Rebel City for a bit of pre-season training and even beat Cork City 2-0 in a friendly on Monday. The victory might have swelled their heads a bit so what better way to bring them back to earth than a lesson in our national game.
The club’s Twitter account has posted a video of the lads getting to grips with their hurls and it seems some take to it a bit better than others. It should be noted that Preston is one of the most Irish-influenced clubs across the water with no fewer than six members of its squad hailing from the Emerald Isle.
Take a look at the video below and leave your verdict in the comments.
