WATCH: Angelina Jolie appeared on Irish TV yesterday and was full of praise for one of our stars

Viewers of The Six O’Clock Show were treated to some Hollywood glamour yesterday evening when Angelina Jolie came on to chat with Martin King and Muireann O’Connell.

Getting Angelina Jolie on the show was quite a coup for Virgin Media and while the presenting pair had her, they just had to ask about her experience of working with Ireland’s very own Barry Keoghan. The Dubliner has been making waves in Hollywood in recent years with a series of brooding performances and he got to work with Jolie on upcoming Marvel movie The Eternals.

When told that Keoghan refers to her as a “mother-like” figure, Jolie smiled as she said: “I’ll take it, I’m honoured”. She added that “he’s wonderful. He’s so talented and he’s very unique and that’s a fun thing to see these days. When you meet somebody, there’s a lot of people who can do good work but when strong, unique personalities come forward and they have something that you haven’t seen before, it’s really exciting and fun to see.”

Barry will surely be happy to hear kind of praise from a Hollywood A-Lister and you can catch the pair together when The Eternals hits cinemas in 2021. You can have a look at a snippet of Angelina Jolie’s interview on The Six O’Clock Show below…
