The famous Cheaper by the Dozen cast has teamed up to recreate some of the movie’s most iconic scenes and it’s making us want to rewatch the movie ASAP.
Cheaper by the Dozen was always one of my favourite movies – growing up in a house of five kids, I was used to similar scenes at the breakfast table before school and so it was kind of nice to see a family as chaotic as mine onscreen.
Admittedly, it’s been quite a while since I watched the movie or thought about what the Bakers are up to now but it seems they’ve been keeping well.
Teaming up almost two decades after the film’s release, each cast member filmed a short clip of themselves recreating some of the movie’s most iconic scenes. Compiling each clip into a longer video, it’s set to Simple Plan’s I’m Just a Kid and includes cameos from the twins (now much older), Hilary Duff, Alyson Stoner and even Bonnie Hunt.
Sharing the clip to her Instagram account, Hilary captioned it:
“Surprise! From the Baker family to yours. We are all in this together.”

Quoting another of my favourite movies in the process (we can’t be friends if you don’t get the reference), the reunion is in aid of a good cause of course. Hoping to raise funds to feed hungry children across America, the cast is encouraging people to donate to No Kid Hungry if they have change to spare.
Sadly, Tom Baker, head of the household (or so he likes to think) doesn’t make an appearance but here’s hoping Steve Martin responds with his own video.
