Christy Moore has shared a rare clip of him performing 'a few songs' online, asking fans whether he should make it a weekly occurrence. To which we say a resounding YES.

The man, the myth, the legend - Christy Moore has treated fans to a rare video of him performing. One of the country's most beloved performers, anyone lucky enough to have attended a Christy Moore show will tell you that he knows how to put on one hell of a gig. Named by RTE as Ireland's greatest living musician back in 2007 (a title few would dispute), the singer is notoriously private which makes anything he does decide to share online all the more enjoyable.

Posting the video online, Christy said that he's "thinking of doing this regularly" also asking fans to get in touch "on one of those platforms"... those being the social medias.

Encouraging viewers to send in their requests should they have any songs they'd like him to cover, he hopes to make it a weekly occurrence saying "we'll have another go at this next week".

The singer was one of the first Irish artists to cancel all of his upcoming gigs, doing so before the government had issued any official advice on the matter.

"It is with regret that I must announce the cancellation of upcoming concerts in Kilkenny, Killarney and Portlaoise. In the absence of official Government guidance, I feel it incumbent on me to make this decision... I wish everyone a safe passage through this very difficult time."

Stay tuned for another session next week and don't forget to get your song recommendations in.
