Dara O’Briain has never been shy about spreading the Irish gospel to his adopted home of the UK but he may have pushed the boat out a bit far on this occasion.
In what appears to be typical ‘Irishman on foreign soil’ act of nationalistic pride, Dara took to the turf at London cricket ground Lords, know as the home of English cricket, and brought a hurl with him for an old-fashioned puckaround.
What happen next either has to be admired or Dara should be shown a straight red card, depending on your point of view.

Ouch. We’re gonna assume that wasn’t a real sliotar otherwise that fella would have been out for the count.
Judging by the laughter it appears that nobody was seriously hurt so it’s okay to have a chuckle.
Dara is certainly proud of his work anyway.
Possibly the greatest strike in the history of hurling, and at @homeofcricket too! Was it a fluke? You can decide. (yes, btw.) https://t.co/pEdopohNJ7
